Surprise Birthday Party Monday Night
The family and friends of Mr. Marion Green surprised him on Monday night, April 4th, by gathering in his home for a party. After greetings and registering, Mrs. D. O. Smith, conducted games such as "Going Fishing," "Spinning the Bottle," Barnyard," and "Chewing the String for an Easter Egg."
Mr. Green cut the birthday cake, followed by his four brothers, who have passed the three score years with him. Delicious punch was served with the cake.
Many nice gifts were presented the host. He seemed to like a "Silver Dollar" presented by his brother, Wayne.

Shields, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Tidwell, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Shanks and son, Mrs. Eula Lowry, Evelyn Mathews, Charles Elliott Woodard, Mrs. Marie Woodard, Mrs. O. P. Mathews, Mrs. Emma Lowry, Clyde Weatherley, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Medlin, Mr. R. L. O'Pry, Mr. and Mrs. George Martin, Maxine Stone, Ruth Dunn, A. G. Stone, Mrs. Dorsie Green and family, Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Green.
After refreshments, group singing was enjoyed, all singing "Happy Birthday" to Mr. Green.
