Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Green, RR 1, Celeste, will be honored at a reception in their home on January 22, 1984, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM marking their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Hosts will be their children, the Rev. Bob Harwell and Shirley Green Harwell of Des Moines, Iowa, and Billy Green and Beverly Green of Mesquite; and six grandchildren. They have five great-grandchildren. The pair married on January 27, 1934, in Greenville, and they have lived in the area all of their married lives.
