Albert A. Spradling

Funeral services for Albert A. Spradling of Greenville, Texas, are at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 13, 1998, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Hazelip officiating.  Burial will be in Jacobia Cemetery.

He died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.

He was born in Hunt County on January 6, 1919, son of A. A. (Ross) Spradling and Fannie Bridges Spradling.  He married Nona Murray on January 13, 1993 in Greenville.  He served in the US Army during World War II.

Mr. Spradling retired from PCA.  He was a rodeo announcer and auctioneer.  He was a member of Old Concord Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom Spradling and Susan Spradling of Greenville; a son, Bill Garrett of Greenville; a daughter, Gaylyn Weatherly of Josephine; a stepbrother, Ross Howard Spradling of Lubbock; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, four stepsisters, and one stepbrother.

Pallbearers are Billy LeRoy, Paul Fleming, O. G. Bow, John Barrow, Rick Stevens, and Carols Deaton.  Honorary pallbearers are Norman Ulmer, J. M. Stansel, Robert Sikes, and Raymond Gray.

Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
