Allen Lafayette Wolfe
Allen L. Wolfe, 84, of Merit died Friday, August 31, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 2, 2007, at Merit Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. David Hawkins and the Rev. Bob Layman are officiating. Burial is in Merit Cemetery.
Mr. Wolfe was born March 3, 1923, in Cumby; the son of Barney Wolfe and Lola Chaddick Wolfe. He married Willie Izelle McAnally on October 25, 1947, in Amarillo.
Mr. Wolfe was retired from General Motors. He was a veteran of the US Army Corps and a member of Merit Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Wolfe of Celeste, David Wolfe and Cindy Wolfe of Merit, Allen Wolfe and Lisa Wolfe of Buna; grandson and wife, Nathan Wolfe and Teri Wolfe; grandchildren, LeighAnn Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Roger Wolfe, and Kari Wolfe; and great-grandchildren, Shay and Seth and Ryleigh, Rody and Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years and his parents.
Pallbearers are Nathan Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Roger Wolfe, Donnie Blankenship, and Zach Bryden.
