Anna Bell Shelton
Greenville Herald-Banner – February 4, 1980 -- Mrs. Anna Bell Shelton, 68, of Route 1, Greenville died Saturday at 7:20 a.m. at her residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Hamilton Officiating. Burial will be in the Sullivan Cemetery.
She was born in Dallas on Dec. 17, 1911 to John R. Bevans and Mellie Williamson Bevans. The former Plano resident was retired from Pig Stand, Inc. and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are sons John Shelton of Denver, Colo., and Joe Shelton of Plano; daughter Mrs. William McNeely of Greenville; brother Emory Bevans of Dallas; sisters, Mrs. Eunice Holub of Plamer and Mrs. Retha Smith of Dallas; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A son, James Bevans, preceded her in death in 1930.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William McNeely, Route 1, Greenville.
Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
