Annie Mae Butler, 76, of Greenville died Thursday, May 11, 2006, in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Johnson Street Church of Christ with Brother Jerry Taylor officiating. Burial is in Grundy Memorial Park. Mrs. Butler was born April 6, 1930, in Neaches, Texas; the daughter of York Smith Sr. and Beaulah Wilson Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of East Side Church of Christ. Surviving are sons, Charles Taylor of Dallas and Edward Taylor of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Jo Ann Taylor Gipson (James) of Greenville; brother, Sammie Lee Smith of Houston; sister, Gladys Ashford of Greenville; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother-in-law, Willie Wilmore of Corsicana; and sister-in-law, Velma Smith of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons and two daughters. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
