Aristea Castillo, 61, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2006, at a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Igelsia Bautista Hispana Ridgecrest Church with Rev. Jose Amaya officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. She was born on Sept. 3, 1944, to Pedro Castillo Nieto and Marcela Torres Castillo in Cerritos, Mexico. On Aug. 20, 1958, she married Pedro Castillo in Cerritos, Mexico. She was a seamstress. a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Pedro of Greenville; her sons, Erasmo Castillo, Gelacio and Elvira Castillo, Noah and Jennifer Castillo, and Ruben Castillo; daughters, Maria del Rosario and Richard Garcia, Maria F. Galvin and Lino, Lilly and Shawn Miller, and Marisa Castillo and Jessie Ruelas; grandchildren, Eva Pena, Lisa, Gelacio, Jr., and Christina Castillo, Luis, Moses, Mary Beth and Soloman Garcia, Daniel, Norma A., and Oscar A. Galvan, Joshua T. and Matthew J. Miller, Jacob and Nicholas Garza, Jessie and Isabela Luz Marcela Ruelas; great-grandchildren, Rebekah L., Sarah, and Samuel Pena; her mother, Marcela Torres of Greenville; brothers and sisters, Luciana Tovar, Isidra Estrada, Gudelia Vargas, Imelda, Vicente, Pedro, and Jose Castillo, and Maria Guzman; seven nieces and 15 nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Pedro Castillo; infant daughter, Norma Castillo; infant sons, Martin & Noah Castillo; and her granddaughter, Ashley Garza.
Her family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home.
