Chief Ashley Warden

Chief Ashley Warden, 91, of Wolfe City, Texas died Wednesday, December 22,
2010, at Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville. He was born September
22, 1919, in McKinney, Texas to Margaret Eskew Warden. He married Betty
Jane Branton on May 28, 1944 and was a retired Methodist minister.
He is survived by daughter, Beth Caywood and husband, Stan of Wolfe City;
son, Gary Warden of Irving; two granddaughters, Courtney Caywood Allen and
husband, Blake of Wolfe City and Heather Caywood Hamilton and husband,
James of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Caylie Hamilton, James Ray Trey
Hamilton, Caigen Allen and Brinlee Allen; one brother, J.B. Warden of
Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Monday, December 27, 2010, at the First United
Methodist Church in Wolfe City. Rev. Glenn Vickers conducted the services.
Burial followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
