EMORY — Services for Betty Jo Adair of Emory are at 2 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home chapel with Brother Monte Parker officiating. Burial follows at Donelton Cemetery.
Mrs. Adair died Feb. 10, 2007, at Green Acres Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 16, 1930, in Royse City, she was the daughter of William Andrew and Trudie Onie Smith Tate.
Mrs. Adair was a businesswoman, art teacher, Good Samaritan and newspaper columnist, along with many other titles and achievements. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Emory.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Sue and Fred Worley of Emory; son and daughter-in-law George Louis and Laura Adair of Yantis; a brother and sister-in-law, George Ferris and Susan Tate of Greenville; sister-in-law Karolyn Kay Tate of Caddo Mills; grandchildren Brian, Shane, Tyson, Misty, Stacy, Jennifer, Lindsay, Randy and Jeremy; great-grandchildren Jacob, Trenton, Caden, Emily, Ethan, Hayden, Halle, Karly, and Ayen; nieces and nephew Shaney, Deidre, Christy, Melonie and Darin; and an uncle, George Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Adair; a brother, Willie Adren Tate; and one grandchild, Hapi Floyd Worley.
