COMMERCE — Billie Fuller Lands, 83, of Commerce died June 25, 2006, in Commerce. A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rosemound Cemetery with Brother Terry Bryan officiating. Born Sept. 8, 1922, in Commerce, he was the son of Charles and Alice Fuller Lands. He married Chris Montgomery on Jan. 19, 1991, in Fort Worth. Mr. Lands was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors are his wife; children Gerald Lands and wife Carol, Penny Frazier and husband Rick and Frederich Scott Montgomery; grandchildren Michael Lands, Kimberly Lands Brantley and husband Ricky, Shannon Gash and husband Trent, Clay Frazier and wife Shannon and Cody Frazier; great-grandchildren Jasik Lands, John Garrett Hickman, Emma Hickman and Stanley Frazier; nieces and nephews Mary and Gary Hendrix, Tim and April Johnson, Melissa and Howard Charba, Teri and Bob Franklin, Mark White, JoAnn and Jack De Torce, Jerry Williams, Danny Winkelman and several other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Valee White and Marzee White; brother-in-law Cotton Winkelman and wife Mary; and his dog Scooter.
His parents; a son, David Lands; three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the Shrines Heart or Cancer Association. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home of Commerce.
