CADDO MILLS — Billy Vernon Lee, 79, of Caddo Mills, died July 8, 2006 at his residence. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Caddo Mills with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will in Caddo Mills IOOF Cemetery. Born in Union Hill (Caddo Mills) on March 24, 1927, he was the son of Douglas Lee and Lena Bost Lee. He married Neva Sebastian on Aug. 20, 1949 in Rockwall. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked in order filling for Kraft Foods. He was a Baptist and a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Neva Lee of Caddo Mills; daughters and sons-in-law, Billy Kaye and Ross Powell of Greenville, Karen Gail and Wendell Williams of Caddo Mills and Kathy Annette Howard of Cash; brother, J. C. Lee of Garland; grandchildren, Billy Douglas Powell of Greenville, Karen Lee Ann Escalante of Cash, Jeremy Lynn Howard of Lone Oak, Joseph Edward Howard of Cash, Shanna Dena Jennings of Caddo Mills and Shelly Cheree Shipp of Germany; and great-grandchildren, Sadie, Halie and Hunter Howard, Kayelee Powell and Josh Escalante.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and one sister. Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday.
Rentfrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
