Linda Gay Brown Blackwood
Linda Gay Brown Blackwood, 50, of Campbell died early in the morning of May 24, 2008.She was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Arlington, daughter of Graydon and Shirley Cavness. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She loved helping others and she always had a way of making everyone around her feel amazing. She was vivacious, compassionate and dearly loved the breath of life. Linda was a student at Grayson County College and was also a state certified nurse’s assistant. She was a homemaker of 11 years and went on to be a state certified B and A technician in New Mexico. Linda was also in food management for many years at an establishment in Greenville. Linda was a member of Harvest Bible Church in Greenville. Most of all, anyone who knew Linda knew she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be wholeheartedly missed. Survivors are her mother of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Vanessa Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo.; granddaughter Mya Isabella Linda Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Janet Crawford of Campbell; brother and sister-in-law Graham and Carol Cavness of Campbell; a nephew, JR Crawford of Frisco; nieces Shellie Crawford of Greenville and Taylor Cavness; aunt and uncles Carole Heesh of South Carolina and Terry Clack and wife Sue, Tony Clack and wife Margaret and David Clack, all of England; and great-niece and great-nephew Madison Murphy and Seth Jones of Greenville. Her father and a grandmother, Lucy Berry, preceded her in death. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel. Blake Brown, Don Brown, Graham Cavness, Jr Crawford, Paul Henry Broyles, Jim Hughitt and Phillip Ash are honorary pallbearers.
