Bobbie Jean Turk
Greenville Herald Banner - September 14, 2005 - Bobbie Jean Turk, 62, of Dallas died peacefully in her sleep Sept. 12, 2005. She had been residing with her daughter in Haltom City following a courageous struggle with cancer.
She was born Bobbie Jean Miller to Carl Porter Miller and Margie Pauline Hatchet in Lone Oak on July 31, 1943. She married Fred David Turk in September of 1967.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband in January 2001, her mother, Margie Miller just two days later; a sister, Juanita Pauline Graham, in March 1979;and a grandson, Nicolas Edmund Perez, in 1983.
Bobbie is survived by her father, Carl P. Miller, formerly of Dallas; a daughter, Deborah Hodge of Haltom City, sons Robert Hodge of Seagoville and David Turk of Morrison, Colo.; and a brother, Tommy Miller Sr. of Osage, Wyo. Bobbie was blessed with eight grandchildren, Joseph Perez of Haltom City, Alexander Perez, currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq, Sarah Hodge and Robbie Hodge of Seagoville, Christopher Hodge of Ohio, Catherine Villarreal of San Diego, Calif., and Aleah Turk of California, and a great-granddaughter, Peyton Taylor Villarreal of San Diego, Calif.
Chapel services are at Peters Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Tommy Miller, Jr. and Rev. James Slocumb officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sullivan Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
