Bobby Jack Lipsey, Sr.
Dallas--Bobby Jack Lipsey, Sr., 78, was born on March 5, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Leon Lipsey and Lillie Lowe Lipsey of Kingston. He lived in Mesquite with his wife, Mary Ruth McDaniel Lipsey, who passed away on June 15, 2006. They were married for fifty-two years.
A Celeste 1946 classmate, he served in the US Army and was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church. He loved to bowl, play dominos, and watch the Dallas Cowboys. No one will forget his laugh! He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Jack Lipsey, Jr., of Mesquite; his daughter, Renee Pelon and husband John Pelon of Cheboygan, Michigan; and his grandson, Jace Nichols of Mesquite. He is also survived by his sister, Billie Shott of Charleston, South Carolina, his sister, Gloria Goodin of Greenville, his brother, Jimmy Lipsey and his wife Jean Lipsey of Greenville, his sister, Barbara Smith and her husband Curtis Smith of Celeste; and many nieces and nephews.
