Bobby Ray Greer
Bobby Ray Greer, 68, of Greenville, died Friday, December 17, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital Greenville. Graveside services were at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 19, 2000, at Merit Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Singleton officiating.
Born on March 13, 1936, in Grapevine, he was the son of John Lindsey Greer and Leta Delma Dennis Greer.
He was married to Johnnie G. McCloud on July 12, 1961, in Greenville.
Mr. Greer was a US Army veteran and retired from Ensearch (formerly Lone Star Gas) after thirty-one years. He also retired from Walker-McDonald after ten years.
He was a Baptist.
Mr. Greer is survived by his wife of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Greer and Carisa Greer of Merit; daughter, Wendy Willeford of Merit; grandchildren, Kyle Greer, Chase Greer, David Greer, Jack Willeford, Brittany Greer, Allyson Norris, and Madison Willeford; and sister-in-law, Jeri Greer of Merit.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith Greer, in 1977; brother, John D. Greer, in 1991; and his father in 1980 and his mother in 1989.
Pallbearers were Mike Taylor, Chris Taylor, Billy Don Dennis, Clyde Dennis, Kyle Greer, and Chase Greer. Honorary pallbearers were David Greer and Jack Willeford.
