Funeral services for Bradford Morgan, 89, of Jacksonville, Texas, are at 2 p.m. Thursday in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Blaylock and Rev. David Hallum officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Family visitation is Thursday at 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Morgan, formerly of Greenville, died Dec. 12 at 1:50 a.m. in Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
He was born July 12, 1917, in Greenville to Joe Morgan and Barbara Rawlings Morgan. He married Myrtie O. Pennington in 1940. He was a retired electrician and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville.
Survivors are daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte and Derrell Gilbert of Jacksonville and Annette Burch of Haughton, La.; grandchildren, Derek Gilbert of Houston, Kelly Gilbert Fowler of Jacksonville, Shawn Burch of Benton, La., and Eric Burch of Shreveport; great-grandchildren Pvt. Morgan Birdwell, Alex Gilbert, Madison Burch, Landon Burch, Ean Burch, Ava Burch, Hannah Burch and Gray Burch.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 15, 2005, and his parents. Pallbearers are Shawn Burch, Eric Burch, Derek Gilbert, Cory Fowler, Jerry Morgan and Derrell Gilbert.
