Oscar Franklin Bradley, Jr
Oscar Franklin Bradley Jr. 85, of Campbell, died the night of May 19, 2008, at Greenville Health and Rehab Center. A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday in Ridgecrest Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Herbert, Don Morgan and Vel Hawes will officiate. The son of Oscar Franklin Sr. and Faye Jacques Bradley, he was born April 25, 1923, in Dallas. He graduated from Southern Methodist University where he played on the baseball team. On Sept. 3, 1949, he married Edna Earl Foshee in Dallas. Mr. Bradley served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was a mechanical engineer and worked for E-Tex Mechanical and Burden Brothers. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he served as chairman of deacons and chairman of the Building Committee. He had also served as chairman of deacons and of the Building Committee at Hampton Place Baptist Church in Dallas. Mr. Bradley was a private pilot. Surviving are a daughter, Pam Bradley McDow Webster and husband Scott of Campbell; two grandsons, Matthew McDow and Craig McDow of Houston; great-granddaughter, Madeline Soileau of Victoria; a niece, Connie Hawes of Dallas; three great-nephews and one great-niece. His wife preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 2007. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
