Graveside services for Bruce Alan Lanting, 55, of Crestline, Calif., are at 4:30 p.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 3 to 4 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Lanting died Dec. 31, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 22, 1951, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to John Lanting Jr. and Alice G. Brower. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver for 25 years.
Survivors are his mother and stepfather, Alice and Neel Dearing Jr. of Greenville; a son, Joshua Lanting of California; a daughter, Brandy Stewart of California; a grandson, Nathan Stewart of California. brother and sister-in-law, John W. and Penny Lanting of Evans, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1989; a son, Bruce Lanting Jr. in 1990; a stepson, Michael Rawls in 1984; and his grandparents.
