Dr. John Edward Cannon
Dr. John Edward Cannon died on July 17, 1941, at the age of eighty-two years, seven months, and ten days. The primary cause of death was carcinoma of the stomach for eight months and prostatitis (sic) since 1938. He died in Celeste, Hunt County, Texas, where he had lived for fifty-three years. He was born on December 8, 1858, in Foristell, Missouri. His father was George M. Cannon of Foristell, Missouri. His mother was Sarah Catharine Lewis of Missouri. Mrs. J. E. Cannon of Celeste, Texas, was the informant. Burial was made on July 19, 1941, at Mount Carmel Cemetery near Celeste. J. D. Bickham of Celeste was in charge. (33127)
