Carolyn Jo Cook, 17, of Greenville died peacefully in her sleep the morning of March 4, 2007, at The University of Texas Health Center in Tyler. A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Living Word Church in Greenville under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Scott McManus will officiate.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born April 13, 1989, in Greenville, she was the daughter of Stephen and Beth Rosser Cook. She was a member of Living Word Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Beth and Jim Lewis of Greenville; her father of Greenville; grandparents Doris Lewis of Greenville, Jim Rosser of California, Carolyn Knott of California and Jo and Bill Cook of Greenville; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeremy and Vinna Cook of Greenville, Michael Scogins of Qunicey, Ill., and Seth Cook of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Michel and David Garrison of Garland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and the staff at Truman Smith Child Care Facility.
A great-grandmother, Elsie Leatherwood, preceded her in death.
