WOLFE CITY — Catherine George Routt, 85, of Wolfe City died Jan. 12, 2007, at her home following an illness lasting several months. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cross Trails Church in Fairlie with Brother Jeff Bishop officiating. Burial follows in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City. Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
Born Dec. 31, 1921, in Kaufman County, she was the daughter of Melvin W. George and Teleta Nelson. She was married to Jack Routt on Dec. 11, 1996, in Wolfe City.
Mrs. Routt was a retired grocery store owner. She was a member of Cross Trails Church in Fairlie.
Survivors are her husband, 18 nieces and nephews, and special friend and caretaker, Angelina Macias and family.
She was preceded in death by one son, James Arnold Anderson; her parents; one sister and five brothers.
Pallbearers are Melvin W. George, Chad George, Bryan George, Bill George, Doyle George, Henry George, John Moore and Mark Geer.
