Professor C. C. Perrin

After an illness of several weeks Professor C. C. Perrin passed through the valley of the shadow of death at the noon hour on Sunday in the Baptist Sanitarium in Dallas.
Professor Perrin was born in Texas on October 4, 1848. He was a scholar and a Christian gentleman, very conservative, and was always ready to endorse the ideas of others, provided they could show the proof.
Professor Perrin taught school for many years, was given a chair in a medical school in Dallas, and was a leader in any educational move. He accumulated a considerable amount of property, and was one of the largest land owners of the county.
About twenty-seven years ago, he was married to Miss Ella Braly, who survives him.
Deceased was a leader in the Christian Church at Celeste, and was quite a writer in the defense of what he believed to be the true way. He was a charter member of the local IOOF.
It is with melancholy pleasure that we dwell upon the many virtues and noble character of this good man, and while the sympathy of the community is tendered the faithful companion, we fully realize that consolation under so heavy an affliction must come to his loved ones from a higher power.
