Charles Edgar McGuire
Charles Edgar McGuire, 85, of Idabel, Oklahoma, died in that city last week. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, in the Methodist Church in Idabel and burial was made in that city.
A Celeste native, Mr. McGuire was born on August 27, 1879, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McGuire. He was married to Annie Morton of Cumby on July 5, 1911.
Mr. McGuire was a retired schoolteacher, his first school being the Robinson School in the Hickory Creek community. He later taught in the Oklahoma Public Schools.
Survivors are three sons, Col. Bill McGuire of North Dakota, Roy Lee McGuire of San Antonio, and Charles McGuire of Idabel; two brothers, Clarence McGuire of Celeste and Marvin McGuire of Richardson; and one sister, Mrs. Ida Gibson of Celeste.
His wife and two children preceded him in death.
