Charles Henry Drake, 91, of Greenville died Jan. 16, 2007. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel C.M.E. Church with Supt. R.L. Price and Rev. H. Wright officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery.
Born Nov. 24, 1915, in Newburn, Ala., he was the son of Daniel and Winnie Brown Drake.
Mr. Drake served in the U.S. Army. He worked in maintenance and was a member of Wesley Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Surviving are a son, Paul L. Stanford Jr. of Dallas; a daughter, Dianne Drake Price of Greenville; grandchildren Dwaine Price Jr., Deirdie Price, and Drew Price, all of Greenville; and a sister, Sara Drake of New Orleans, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Mary Drake and Mary Katherine Drake; and a daughter, Mary Charles Drake.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
