Ada E. Lyday Chiles
Mrs. Ada E. Lyday Chiles, 89, prominent Hunt County woman and a resident of Celeste for more than sixty years, died Monday of last week, April 4, 1948, after a short illness.
A native of Fannin County, Mrs. Ada Lyday Chiles was born in 1859. She was married to J. E.Chiles. She was a conscienscious Christian and an active member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Thompson of Ratton, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mary Burtis of Madisonville; one son, Bob Chiles of Claremore, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Dyer of Durant, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
