Christine Cochran Cornett, 78, of Greenville, formerly of Hickory, MS, passed away at her home in Greenville on Nov. 10, 2006. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Webb Funeral Home in Mississippi with interment following at Hickory Cemetery.
Mrs. Cornett was born on Dec. 14, 1927, to William and Stella Cochran in Mississippi. She was a loving wife and mother throughout her life. She was also a devoted member of Hickory Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Billy C. Cornett of Greenville; a daughter Ree Sabella and husband, David, of Greenville; grandchildren Brittany Cornett, David Sabella, Jr., and wife, Gloria, Kim Sabella, Casey Sabella, Rhonda Sabella and husband, Kevin, and Julie McKinney; and great-grandchildren Aaron Sabella, Catherine Sabella, Austin Morgan, Clint Hubbard, Gauge Elliott and Dakota Vaught.
Her husband, Billy Cornett, preceded her in death in 1985.
Pallbearers are Charles Thompson, Jim Atwood, Chalmers McGee, Billy Joe Cornett, Jackie Knight, Troy Brand, Jr., and honorary pallbearers are Bobby Butler and Curly Burks.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Webb Funeral Home. Lynch Funeral Service is in charge of local arrangements.
