Claude Morris (Buddy) Quattlebaum
Rites Slated Tuesday For Hunt County Sailor
Funeral services for Claude Morris (Buddy) Quattlebaum, 30, aviation machinist's mate second class, who died Thursday in a Naval Hospital at San Diego, California, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at the Kingston Church at Kingston, Hunt County, Texas.
Quattlebaum, a brother of Mrs. C. H. Williams, 923 Cameron, succumbed to injuries sustained in a Ream Field (California) accident. Mrs. Williams was at his bedside when he died. He was a graduate of Caddo Mills High School.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Quattlebaum of Lone Oak, Hunt County, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. J. D. Lumpkin and Miss Nelta June Quattlebaum of Lone Oak, and Mrs. Harvey Bacon of Pass Christian, Mississippi, and a brother, Dickie Quattlebaum, Lone Oak.
Claude Morris (Buddy) Quattlebaum must be kin to the Quattlebaum children who lived near Kingston and who were Celeste graduates, since this young man's funeral was in Kingston. sss (Picture, September 14, 1943, The Dallas Morning News)
