Cora Melton McAbee, 42, of Greenville died May 25, 2006, at her residence. Cora was born on Dec. 9, 1963, in Royse City. She was an owner and operator for Cora’s Country Café in Cash. She is survived by her son, Tyler McAbee of Caddo Mills; daughters Chrystal Dawn McAbee of Caddo Mills, Candi Lynn McArter of Greenville, Ginger N. Bryant of Caddo Mills, and Tammy McAbee of Caddo Mills; her parents, Marshall and Wanda Wallace of Cumby; one brother, Vernon and wife Shirley Melton of Caddo Mills; one sister, Therisa Goodwin of Greenville; and grandchildren, Katelyn and Kaden McAbee, and Ashley and Nathan Bryant. She was preceded in death by her father, E.W. Melton; Granny Birdie; two sisters, Nancy McClure and Tammy Melton; one brother, Roger Melton; and one nephew, Randy McClure. A funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Vansickle Baptist Church with Roger Ratliff and Randall Bost officiating. Interment is at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Pallbearers are Elliott Matlock, Adam Bryant, Justin Ayers, David Yarbrough, and Phillip and Chris Martin. A memorial fund has been established for Cora McAbee’s children. Donations may be made to Lone Star Credit Union, 2611 Eastland Avenue, Greenville, 75401.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Service.
