Daisy Lee Barrett Stafford died the morning of July 24, 2006, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Price Temple C.O.G.I.C. with Rev. Frederick Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park. The daughter of Alzena and Jim Barrett, she was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Greenville. She was married to Curtis Stafford in Greenville. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Dan Henry (Linda) Stafford and Bobby Joe Stafford; five siblings, Billy Barrett of Kansas City, Mo., Willie Stevenson of Fort Worth, Louise Hardemon and Katherine Williams of Dallas, and Jennie Barrett of Greenville; stepgranddaughters La-Sonya Alexander, Cynthia Richards and Capressa Moore; a stepgrandson, C.D. Moore Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Jim Barrett, Cecil Barrett, O.C. Barrett, A.L. Barrett and Charlie Barrett; and four sisters, Pauline Rice, Eva Barrett, Florine Redmon and Winnie Thomas.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home.
