Deborah Daphne Haney, 83, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Greenville, died the evening of Feb. 6, 2007, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel, 5100 Interstate 30, with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial follows at Forest Park Cemetery.
Daughter of James Elba Bowman and LeNora Mae Thompson, she was born July 19, 1923, in Greenville. On Oct. 7, 1944, she was married to Harry L. Haney in Greenville. Mrs. Haney was a real estate agent and later worked as a cashier at Gibsons, Howards and TG&Y. She was a member of Family Fellowship, Order of Eastern Star, and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie L. Haney of Dallas and Milton B. and Mary Haney of Irving; a granddaughter, Jennifer Haney Morgan of Dallas; great-grandson Dylan Keith Morgan of Dallas; and nephews Bill Morris, Tom Morris, Sam Morris and Chris Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; her parents; and a brother, Charlie C. Morris.
Jennifer Haney Morgan, Jonathan Warren, Rusty Warren, Phillip Herbst, Jerry Monk and Sharon Banks are pallbearers.
