Doris Jean Tyler
Doris Jean Tyler, 72, of Celeste, died the morning of July 23, 2007 at her residence. Graveside services will be at 2:00, Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Dulaney Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home of Greenville. The Rev. Danny Crawford will officiate.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, July 24, 2007, at the funeral home.
Daughter of Finis Copeland and Flossie Lucille Baker Copeland, she was born September 22, 1934, in Greenville. On June 20, 1953, she was married to Kenneth Tyler in Greenville. Mrs. Tyler was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Merit.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in- law Jeffrey Tyler and Suzette Tyler of Greenville, Richard Tyler of Celeste, and Michael Tyler and Sheila Tyler of Farmersville; a daughter, Phyllis Welk of Celeste; brother John “Sonny” Copeland of McKinney; a sister, Barbara Shaw of Melissa; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 16, 2002; her parents; and a son, Randy Tyler in June of 1963.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Tyler, Mike Tyler, Jason Welk, Brian Welk, Michael Tyler, Jr., and Marcus Shelton.
