Dorothy Louise Elrod, 93, died July 7, 2006, in Shreveport, La. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Peters Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Rev. Bobby Renfro and Rev. Brad Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Elrod was born Dec. 23, 1912, in Holland, Texas, to Louise Murphy French and J. W. French. On Dec. 16, 1933, she married J. T. Elrod in Texarkana, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church in Greenville. Her survivors include one son, James Elrod and wife Margaret of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Dorothy Perry and husband Paul of Greenville; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, six brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
