John Dotson
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 22, 1954, at 2:00 PM at the Leonard Methodist Church for John Dotson who died Saturday, November 20, 1954. The Rev. Jimmy Heflin had charge of the services and burial was made in Leonard Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Dotson was born on April 15, 1897, in Leonard. Parents were William Samuel Dotson and Mollie Lee Lovette Dotson.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Mablynn (Mabel Lynn Byers) Dotson; three brothers, Newton E. Dotson, Henry L. Dotson, and W. Scott Dotson; two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Dotson and Mrs. Dimple Schrader (Schroeder); seven nieces; and six nephews.
