Maudie Cryer Doyle
Funeral services for Mrs. Aaron Doyle of Wolfe City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
J. R. Cryer of Celeste, were held at 3:00 PM, Monday, September 7, 1953, at the R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Burial was made in the Mount Carmel Cemetery east of Wolfe City. Mrs. Doyle passed away Sunday, September 6, 1953, at her home east of Wolfe City after a lengthy illness.
Officiating at the last rites was the Rev. G. B. Bailey, pastor of the Wolfe City Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. W. H. Vail, Wolfe City Methodist pastor. Pallbearers were H. F. Bostick, I. H. Bivins, J. H. Fleming, Millard Titus, Preston Hopewell, and M. L. Morgan.
Mrs. Doyle, the former Maudie Cryer, was born in Hunt County on March 25, 1908, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Cryer. She was united with the White Rock Baptist Church in August of 1929.
Surviving are her husband; her parents; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Cryer of Celeste; two sisters, Mrs. Lee F. Bostick and Mrs. J. W. McWilliams of Greenville; five brothers,
A. L. Cryer and Billy Ray Cryer of Dallas and J. C. Cryer, Preston Cryer, and James Cryer of Grand Prairie.
