Duke Maroney, 56, of Commerce died March 29, 2007.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors are his brothers Curtis, Dennis and Jackie Maroney and two nephews, Mark and Max Maroney.
The family will receive friends at 610 Park Street in Commerce from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday.
For memorials, the family requests that letters be written to elected officials advocating available and affordable health care for the poor and working poor.
Lynch Funeral Service is in charge of local arrangements.
