E. C. Lipsey
E. C. Lipsey, who was born and reared in the Concord community, was killed in an automobile accident at Watertown, New York, last week and the body brought here for burial in the East Mount Cemetery on Sunday.
Funeral was conducted by the Rev. Roberts of Cumby, who was also reared in the Concord community.
Mr. Lipsey, who was born in 1904 in the Concord community, worked in this city for a time and operated a store at Kingston went to Watertown, New York, some seven months ago, where he was manager of a Montgomery Ward store, having been sent there by the company from Chicago.
He is survived by his wife and two children, Edward Marshall Lipsey, five, and Patricia Ann Lipsey, three. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Lipsey of Kingston, and the following brothers and sisters: E. M. Lipsey, Jr., and Leon Lipsey of Kingston, Staton Lipsey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. M. R. Burgess, Binghamton, New York, and Mrs. E. L. McKinney of Greenville.
