CLEBURNE — Funeral services for Effie Mime Jones, 89, of Cleburne, formerly of Caddo Mills, are at 10 a.m. Monday at Rentfrow Funeral Chapel in Caddo Mills with Rev. Jerry McGinn officiating. Interment will follow in the Caddo Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Born in Paducah, Texas on Aug. 13, 1917, she was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Fletcher Clay. She married Noel Jones in Quinlan in 1929. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
After retiring from the Caddo Mills School, where she worked in the cafeteria, she worked for several years in the cafeteria at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. She is survived by her son, Joe Ray Jones and his wife, Martha, of Joshua; granddaughter, Rhonda Klein of Houston; grandson, Adam Jones of Houston; and sister, Bernice Faulkner of Euless. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Jones, and a son, Robert Jones.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 until 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
