Eldie Poole, 86, of Greenville died the night of March 5, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Hal Harless officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born Aug. 15, 1920, in Mount Ida, Ark., she was the daughter of Claud and Cora Ragan Robins. She was married to George Poole on Oct. 8, 1946, in Rockwall.
Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center in Garland.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bill Jordan of Greenville; sisters Cordeallia Wineinger of Greenville, Cora Robins of Greenville and Mattie Zimmerman of Schaumberg, Ill.; two brothers, Milton F. Robins of Irving and Tom Robins of Dumas; grandson and wife Robert Allen and D’Ann Jordan of Waco; and great-grandsons Matthew Jordan, Robert Andrew Jordan and James Emert.
She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1991 and by her parents.
Pallbearers are Robert Allen Jordan, Buren Gayle Galbraith, Monty Wineinger and Kevin Wineinger.
