Jonathan David "J.D." Emard
Spc. Jonathan David “J.D.” Emard of Poetry fell in the line of duty on June 4, 2008 near Kirkuk. He was born May 17, 1988, in Dallas. J.D. joined the United States Army at the age of 17, he was an Airborne Ranger with the 1-87 Infantry Battalion 10th Mountain Division. J.D. attended Boles High School where he played football. J.D. loved drawing, soccer, football and had a very outgoing personality. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great-grandparents. J.D. is survived by his loving parents, David and Debbie Emard of Terrell; a sister, Jennifer Marler and husband Justin of Terrell; niece Cina; grandmother Jean Emard of Garland; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home, 301 West Nash in Terrell. Memorials may be made to the Boles Athletic Club, 9775 FM 2101; Quinlan, Texas 75475.
