Mrs. Emma Morris Counts Morrow
Mrs. Emma Morrow, 59, well known woman of the Lone Oak community, died suddenly at 2:15 AM, Thursday, November 19, 1931, at the home of her son, D. C. Morrow, 1915 Morse Street of this city. Mrs. Morrow had been ill only a few hours and death was attributed to an acute attack of indigestion.
Mrs. Morrow was born near Lone Oak on April 15, 1872 and had been a resident of Hunt County her entire life, spending most of the time as a resident of Lone Oak community. She was married to J. W. Counts when a young woman and three children were born to this union; two of whom survive, Mrs. T. J. Titus of Lone Oak and J. W. Counts of Mineola. In 1893 (?), she was married to H. F. Morrow and he, together with the following children survive: D. C. Morrow of Greenville, T. W. Morrow of Lone Oak, Mrs. Charles Brown of Lone Oak, Albert Morrow and Ed Morrow of California, Jessie Morrow, Finice (sic) Morrow, and Ruth Morrow of Lone Oak.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: F. F. Morris and Mrs. Aubrey Pickens of Greenville, Mrs. Ethel Johnson of Dallas; Monch (sic) Morris of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. R. R. Hurley and Mrs. E. E. Hurley of Terrell, Mrs. Clint Hall of Celeste, Lige (sic) Morris of San Antonio, and Trop (sic) Morris of
Galveston.
Mrs. Morrow professed faith in Christ when a young lady and united with the Christian Church. She lived a conscientious Christian life and was a faithful worker in the church work of her community.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, November 20, 1931, at the Neer and Company Funeral Chapel on Washington Street, conducted by the Rev. Johnston, pastor, of the Central Christian Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
The two sons in California will be unable to attend the services.
