Death of Mrs. English
Mrs. Mattie English, pioneer of the Cody community, died Tuesday, March 12th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Glidewell.
Mrs. English was born March 8, 1854. She has lived a useful life and affiliated herself with the Church of Christ, may years ago.
Funeral services were held at Cody, by Rev. Cogdill, of Greenville, and the remains were taken to the Williams Chapel for internment.
Those of her family left to mourn her death are three daughters, Mrs. Roy Glidewell, Mrs. Will Glidewell, Mrs. Fate Allison, all of whom reside South of Lone Oak, and one son, Ed English, of Emory. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.
