Ernest Lindsey Sprinkle
Leonard--Funeral services for Ernest Lindsey Sprinkle, 75, of Sherman, will be at 2:30 PM, April 25, 1973, in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel of Leonard with the Rev. Robert H. Ridley officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery.
A long-time resident of the Leonard-Celeste area, Mr. Sprinkle died at 8:10 PM, Wednesday, in a Sherman hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Sprinkle was born on November 15, 1887, in Hunt County, the son of Robert Sprinkle and Mary Lindsey Sprinkle. He was married to Amy A. Hunter on October 15, 1919, in Celeste.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Sprinkle of Sherman; two sons, Burl Sprinkle (CHS class of '39) of Sherman and Wilford Sprinkle (CHS class of '42) of Texarkana; one daughter, Mrs. Nella Ruth Morgan (CHS class of '38) of Fort Worth; two brothers, Robert Sprinkle of Pampa and Mack Sprinkle of Port Arthur; two sisters, Miss Lela Sprinkle and Mrs. Dollie Caldwell, both of Greenville; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
