Gertie Ethel Wilson, 88, of Park Haven Nursing Home died Thursday in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Burial will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wilson was born January 30, 1890, in Hunt County to J.W. and Jesse Mae Williams. She married William Erb Wilson in Missouri, December 8, 1905. She was a charter member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Lee of Greenville and Mrs. W.D. Hill of Casper, Wyo.; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Mae Stanford and Mrs. Billie Jean Harris of Greenville and Mrs. Jessie Hardridge of Bethany, Okla.; a son Willie E. Wilson of McKinney, 17 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 1978, two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home.
