Evangeline “Tootsie” Bostick, 85, died Jan. 25, 2007, at the Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Services are at 10 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Brother Bill Rogers and Dr. Kevin Mitchell officiating, Burial follows at Tidwell Cemetery.
Born Nov. 11, 1921, she was the daughter of Amsey Marshall and Jimmie Pearl Tippett Prather. She attended school in the Greenville community and graduated from Wolfe City High School. She was married to Edmond D. Bostick on June 17, 1960; and the union produced one child, Dennie Tillman Bostick.
Mrs. Bostick was a member of Tidwell Baptist Church. “Tootsie,” as she was affectionately called, worked for many years at the Southside Drug Store in Greenville.
Her parents, her husband, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Dennie Tillman and Ginger Bostick of Wolfe City; two grandsons, Tanner and Hunter Bostick; two sisters, Frances Laurie and Peggy Bumpass; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Horrocks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
