Evelyn B. West Jordan
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn B. Jordan, 62, of Celeste, were at 2:00 PM, December 20, 1985, at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. She died on Tuesday at Citizens General Hospital.
The Rev. Ernest Walt and Kenneth Reed officiated and burial was in Celeste Cemetery.
She was born on June 15, 1923, in Celeste to Theodore West and Mabel Erle Greenwood West. She was married to W. E. Jordan on November 26, 1947, in Dallas. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Church of Christ. A Celeste High School graduate, she was retired from Haggars in 1952.
Survivors include her husband of Celeste; two daughters, Evangelyn Jordan of Austin and Elaine Jordan of Celeste; a brother, James T. West of Houston; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Louise Conley of Walnut, California, Mrs. Barbara Pollack of For...ard, New Mexico, and Mrs. Jacquelyn Nelson of San Clemente, California.
Pallbearers were Bob Barnard, Ralph Gibson, Ronny Saye, Audie Pope, Harold West, and Gerald Williams.
