LONE OAK — Geneva Rouse, 91, of Lone Oak died the evening of April 20, 2006, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Brother Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be at West Memorial Cemetery in Quinlan.
Daughter of Rufus and Edie Hammock Phillips, she was born May 15, 1914, in Hale County. She was a Baptist and a housewife. Survivors include four sons, Joe and Virginia Gay Rouse, Doy and Mary Rouse and Don and Tena Rouse, all of Baytown, and Harrold and Ethel Rouse of Trinity; daughters Alice Hogue of Lone Oak, Shirley Fowler of Emory, Estelle Snell of Dayton and Janice Sullivan of Baytown; a sister, Marie Godwin of Grove, Ala.; 40 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Ray Rouse; a son, William Rouse; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and 15 brothers and sisters. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home of Lone Oak.
