QUINLAN — Graveside services for George Russell Eidson Sr.. 85, of Quinlan are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at DFW National Cemetery with Rev.. Randy Rather officiating. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
Mr. Eidson passed away Jan. 7, 2007, in a nursing facility.
He was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Dallas to Gilbert Eidson and Bessie Warren. He worked most of his life in the masonry business. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by sons George Russell Eidson Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Hurst, Michael Eidson and wife, Melody, of Caddo Mills, and Marcus Eidson and wife, Katrina, of Quinlan; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Eidson, and a daughter, Marie Ann Browne.
