CADDO MILLS — Gertrude English, 98, of Farmersville, formerly of Caddo Mills, died Jan. 25, 2007. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rentfrow Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roger Ratliff and Larry Combs officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 pm. today at the funeral home.
Born in the Hendrix Community, she was the daughter of George Washington and Serenna Ann Hall Nelson. On March 10, 1924, she was married to John R. English. Mrs. English was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Marie English and Dan and Carolyn English of Caddo Mills; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. English Sr.; two sons, John R. English Jr. and Rodney English; three sisters, Dellea Olds, Della McBroom and Mary Starks; three brothers, Jim Nelson, Oscar Nelson and Jess Nelson; and an infant daughter.
