Haskell Henslee
Funeral services for Haskell “Hack” Henslee, 83, of Celeste, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2006, at the Celeste Church of Christ with Rick Henslee and A.C. Quinn officiating. Burial is in the Celeste Cemetery. Visitation is from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard.
He died October 2, 2006, at his residence.
He was born October 17, 1922, in Wagner, son of E.R. Henslee and Nellie Newby Henslee. After graduating from Celeste High School in 1942, he married Marjean McGahee on March 28, 1942, in Durant, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife of Celeste; two sons, Rick Henslee of Greenville and Mike Henslee of Celeste; a daughter, Debbie Compton of Celeste; sister Audrey Compton of Allen; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
