ROCKWALL — Hubert C. Carter, 67, of Quinlan died Nov. 7, 2006. He was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Beggs, Okla., to John Thomas and Corah (Stevens) Carter.
Mr. Carter worked in the utilities industry as a construction worker. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Harvest Bible Church.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Irene (Franks) Carter of Quinlan; sons Darrell Wayne Carter of Quinlan, Steven Keith Carter of Garland, and David Carter and wife Leanne of Quinlan; a daughter, Kathy Horn of Commerce; a brother, Vernon Carter and wife Joan of Quinlan; sisters Neomi Lassiter and husband Larry of Kentucky, Blanche Lee of Oklahoma and Ruby Sanders and husband Clyde of Oklahoma; a stepson, Johnny Ray Bittle and wife Sherry of Quinlan; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel with Brother Jerry Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
